Key Immobilizer SERVICES

An immobilizer is a built-in electronic device that prevents the engine from running unless the proper key is used. This is a highly preventative measure against vehicle thieves. Immobilizers are compulsory for all new cars sold in UK since 1997.

The key used to activate the fuel-injection ignition trough the immobilizer has a microchip. If the key’s code does not match the immobilizer’s, the engine control unit will not allow fuel to flow and ignition to take place.
